Movie Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Well, Steven and I went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire last night. I love pretty much anything Harry Potter, but I do think this could have been done better (so does Steven).
There we're some things that were better. It is more grown up. There were little everyday exchanges between characters, like real life. It has more emotion. Evil is seen as it is - without mercy.
Of course there was a scene that had to be in the movie. Just like Prisoner of Azkaban, where Draco's comeuppance from Hermione in the book had to be put in the movie, the ferret scene had to be in Goblet of Fire, or there would be an uproar from fans (including myself). It was just too good.
This movie had so much potential. The story is so great. The telling didn't measure up.
I probably will update this later.

Severus Snape: One Teacher's Hero

Warning: If you have not read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the link on this post has a MAJOR spoiler from the book, so don't click on it if you intend to read the book.
This is a hilarious "commentary" on Professor Snape's teaching style.

Acknowledgement to Duncan for this quiz:

You scored as Roman Catholic.

You are Roman Catholic. Church tradition and ecclesial authority are hugely important, and the most important part of worship for you is mass. As the Mother of God, Mary is important in your theology, and as the communion of saints includes the living and the dead, you can also ask the saints to intercede for you.

Toby's Coming!

For Your Information

Just a note of caution -
Please don't bring small children to the new Harry Potter movie. While the first two were relatively less scary, and the third was darker (also not for young ones), this one is definitely not for kids. It is rated 'PG 13' for very good reasons.
Without giving anything away, there's no way they could have done this book justice without such a rating, maybe even an 'R'.
So please do your kids a favor and see it first without them, then decide if they are mature enough to see it. Thanks.

Bratty Brat

The other day I sent my friend Shannon an email asking her to FINALLY get herself a blog. I think she is funny and crazy and always has something interesting to say. She replied that she had no freakin' time, making sure to explain that she didn't just have NO time, but no FREAKIN' time, which is more important.

Then she wrote back saying she broke down and got one anyway. I have been waiting to comment on this blog, but can't, seeing as she hasn't posted anything yet. So I sent her another email on that very subject. No post.

I then sent another one along these lines:

Post Already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanna comment!!!!!!!!!!

*cries*

* falls on the floor kicking and screaming*

Shannon is a brat who doesn't looove meee!!!!

Ok, gonna post now?

Kat

THAT got her attention, so she wrote back noting that I was the one on the floor kicking and screaming and suggested a change to my blog page. Hence the new title.

How do you like that, Shannon? Huh? HUH?

..............Do you think this will make her post something?

This is the end of the blog. Awwww.....
