Countertenor Barred From Choir

This is stupid. I sing first soprano, but also can sing all the way down to first tenor. I have even sung in male choirs when they didn't have enough tenors. I can't stand it when people discriminate. They were afraid girls might hurt their voices if they tried to sing that low? Only if it wasn't in their range in the first place. If it's in their range, like this boy's, let them sing it. How stupid do you have to be?
Even though they said no, I think a lawsuit would be in order.

Waiting For Harry

Here is a funny article about the cover for the new Harry Potter book, to pass the time until the book actually comes out. 16 more days!

Isn't Life Full Of Grace?

My sister-in-law is a photographer. She sent me some pictures of her kids yesterday and I just had to publish at least one. This is one of my beautiful, intelligent, sparkling nieces.

Waiting

Just wondering when God was going to send me a husband. Whoever he is, I have been praying for him for about 18 years.

I wasn't ready for a long time. I needed quite a bit of healing before I could be in a relationship. Now I can't wait. I want to love a certain someone in every way possible; to take care of someone and be taken care of by that person. I want to help (in any way I can) that one grow ever closer to God. I already love him, even though I don't know him yet.

God help me.

Creating A Little Blogger

My nephew (8 years old) is over here and would like to say few words:

I have a aunt, that is nice somtimes she is grumpy ,but not all the time
she is fun.Hope you like my letter bye bye.

I left it exactly as he wrote it. I do believe he meant to say that he has a nice aunt, not that it is nice that he has an aunt. We had a 'difference of opinion' right before he wrote this; hence the "grumpy".

A Lesson In British

As most people know, there are two basic forms of the English language: British (which any Brit would argue is English) and American (which, a Brit might say, is a whole other language). Within these two forms, there are various dialects - some of which don't sound like English at all. But, overall, they are very much the same. Sometimes we use different terms for the same item or completely different phrases to say the same thing.
In the interest of fair play - and because I am an Anglophile - I will, from time to time, display the differences between the two.
Here is the first example:

British : kitchen roll
American: paper towels

Not that hard to figure out, eh?

This is the end of the blog. Awwww.....
