Spoiler warning! Highlight text below to read about new Scholastic artwork:
Scholastic, Inc. has released a picture of the entire book jacket for the deluxe version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. This artwork is different from the art on the regular edition. It shows Harry and Dumbledore peering through trees at an unidentified man walking toward a decrepit cottage. The Leaky Cauldron has it here.

Looks as though I'm going to have to break down and FINALLY start reading the Harry Potter series. No surprise considering I must have watched all the movies (to date) at least half a dozen times each.
If you do, don't be discouraged with the first two books. Her editors had her write them for kids, so the books are rather simple. I guess they thought that because the central character is a child, that that makes by default children's books. They are not.
After she gained fame, she was able to write them like she wanted to in the first place. Beginning with the third book, they become rich with plot and detail.
Any time anyone tells me they don't like the books, I ask if they have read them all. The answer is always no. So don't be discouraged after the first two (but please read the first two, even though you have seen the movies - there are things in them you should know before you read the others). They get better.
